So, yes. . .it’s been a while. Working on six months, in case that matters to anyone, since I last posted/blogged.
When I set up this blog in the fall of 2013, it was solely for a way to keep those that were interested informed about our adoption process.
It became so much more.
Regardless of whether or not one person ever read the blog, it became both an outlet for me personally, and now a permanent record of everything that happened during that time.
My last post was in April, just before we walked into a court in Gibson County, TN, and finalized our adoption forever. A few weeks later, Kane had an official name – the one that had been official to us since the day he was born. Several more weeks later, and a Social Security number was assigned.
Now he’s ours forever, and Uncle Sam’s as well.
I hadn’t really thought much about the blog over these past few months. For some reason, though, it crossed through my mind a couple of weeks ago. Then it became almost a prodding from God during my prayer time each day.
Long story, short. . here we are. I’m not going to promise, cross my heart, or pinky-swear; but, I have short-term plans on picking up the blogging again. I’m thinking weekly, maybe on Saturday mornings (yes, I’m aware that today is Sunday).
Not sure where it will go, but there you go. I’m still working on figuring out how a person can actually subscribe to a blog (to know when new posts go up), but I will still post on FB and tweet out when I put something up.
I leave you with a couple of pics of what the big guy looks like these days.
‘Til then, be kind. You may be the only Jesus someone ever sees.
